The American Drag Racing League is one of the fastest growing classes in drag racing.
Dozens of Outlaw Pro Mods compete nearly every weekend at tracks all over the United States for little or no prize money it's all about the racing. One thing that there is no shortage of, however, is spectators. Record crowds pack small tracks week in and week out to see these "Outlaws" put it all on the line. Ironically the Outlaw Pro Mods are called "Outlaws", because there are no performance restricting rules placed on them by sanctioning bodies, they consistently run elapsed times and speeds that are quicker and faster than conventional Pro Mods.

The event in 2010 will be held at Eddyville Raceway Park on Saturday, Oct 9, 2010 (1/8 mile).
N.E.O.P.M.A.
Established in 1992, originally we were known as the Northeast Pro Shootout Association. It was formed to provide local Pro-Mod racers the opportunity to provide entertainment for spectators, increase sponsor promotions and advertisement, and help tracks drive more spectator business. 17 years later, our continued success is proven by its longevity and continues performance in this arena. Recently we expanded the Pro-Shootout to include outlaw cars, including turbo and naturally aspirated cars to provide a broader array of competition and fun for all. We now have a perfect blend of different types of cars, drivers and engine types to appeal to a broad diversity of racing fans.
Our Members
The Northeast Outlaw Pro Mods features a wide variety of body styles and engines configuration making for some of the quickest and fastest Door Slammers in the country. Some choose Nitrous Oxide; others go with a Supercharged or Turbo configuration. Needless to say it makes for some very exciting 1/4 mile drag racing in the high 5 second range at over 240 MPH
Our Goals
The goal of the Northeast "Outlaw" Pro Mods is to provide drivers with a safe, professional, and competitive environment for Pro Mod drag racing. To help achieve these goals the association officers work closely with local tracks and organizations. It is our hope that by developing strong relationships with the local tracks, organizations, and drivers, while delivering a quality and consistent performance, we can increase the recognition of the Pro-Modified class.
Eligibility For Membership
The term "Outlaw" should not be misinterpreted to mean outlaw racing, outlaw cars, outlaw motors, or any of its derivatives. To determine if your vehicle meets the requirements of Northeast "Outlaw" Pro Mods please refer to the rules page. Failure to comply with the rules and requirements as listed will result in denial of membership. Founded in 2004, Outlaw Racing Street Car Association (ORSCA) is the sanctioning body for the Outlaw Street Car Racing Series, which features American muscle cars and late-model performance cars, with rules that are very liberal where engine, drivelines and performance are concerned. Outlaw street cars closely resemble their street-going counterparts, without being covered in contingency decals and wild body modifications. The association is co-owned by Year One, one of the country's largest suppliers of restoration and performance parts for American performance cars.

One of the most popular divisions in drag racing, Pro Modified captures the true spirit of hot rodding. Bursting on the scene in 1990, this class has retained its roots but has advanced tremendously in terms of technology and speeds. Cars of the class encompass a wide variety of crowd-pleasing body styles, and there are three main engine combinations which can power the cars down the quarter-mile in under six seconds at speeds over 240 mph. In eighth-mile racing, cars are capable of four-second runs at over 200 mph.
The Pro Modified class began as an extension of Top Sportsman racing, basically full-fendered race cars (as opposed to a dragster-style car) taken to the max with unique body styles and large (over 500-cubic inches) engines. Body styles range from 1933 Willys coupes through early 1950s Studebakers to split-window Corvette Sting Rays. The 1967-68 Camaro/Firebird body has become popular in the past year, as well as some Dodge-inspired muscle cars of the late 1960s.

S.C.E.D.A.
SCEDA started out back in the early 1970's as the Southern California Econo Dragster Association. SCEDA was comprised of approximately 50 members who raced a variety of "Competition Eliminator" type vehicles such as front and rear engine dragsters, altereds, street roadsters and funny cars. SCEDA was the "economical" alternative to NHRA's Competition Eliminator class, hence the term Econo was used in our name.
As SCEDA evolved into the Southern California Drag Racing Association, most of our members raced open wheeled dragsters. Today, our style of handicap E.T. racing follows most closely to the National Hot Rod Association's Super Pro, Pro, and Junior Dragster classifications and is open to any vehicle running between 6.50 and 13.99 in “Meziere Electronics”, 7.50 to 21.99 in” Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheelsl” No-E. Our “Terminator Blocks, Clutches, and Accessories” Junior Dragster program is designed to take the kids and turn them into championship drag racers at what ever level of competition they desire.
While the racing in SCEDA is quite intense and competitive, our ideals have always been to retain the family, spirit of friendship and mutual support.

X275 Radial Series
What is the 275 series? Specifically it is for cars running a 275/60 sized tire in a new class that has become increasingly popular in many parts of the country. 275 is a 1/8th mile heads up class run on a .400 pro tree with a pro ladder. X275 is a qualified quick 8 field with courtesy staging and autostart in effect. With the Outlaw Radial classes becoming more expensive and faster, racers are choosing the 275 class as a cheaper alternative. Not that any class racing is cheap!
