Stow, OH - Mickey Thompson Pro Top Outlaws Series begins its eighth year of competition in 2009 with the “No Rules” tour. This coveted championship showcases some of the best – an elite class of veteran racers representing some of the best 1/8-mile competitors in the Midwest. The “No Rules” tour has been created to offer spectacular racing for the fans, and varied racing options for the competitors. Former PTO Champion Phil Esz will continue to manage the series.

“We feel like this could be a really good year for us,” said Phil Esz. “Our membership base has continued to grow and with the new rule changes we hope that we will be able to get even more quality competitors for these events this year. The Pro Top Outlaws series is dedicated to showcasing dragsters, funny cars and pro-modified vehicles, including nitro, alcohol and nitrous-fueled vehicles all competing in two separate fields.
