Archie Fruge Takes Home The Super Comp Class Win On Mickey Thompson Tires At The Texas Sportsman Challenge At Houston Raceway Park, Part Of The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series

Stow, OH - This past weekend at the Texas Sportsman Challenge at Houston Raceway Park, May 15-17, Archie Fruge took home the Super Comp Class win in his new Mickey Thompson 3084S - 33.0/16.5-15S ET Drag tires.

Fruge went seven rounds. Five were against Division Four top-ten drivers and included a quarter-final round win against the champion, Tommy Phillips. Fruge and his dragster from Lake Charles, La., earned the win over Westley Scott of Greenville, Texas, with an 8.913-second run at 152.85 miles per hour.

?This win was a lifelong dream,? said Archie Fruge of his win this past weekend. ?Those Mickey Thompson tires made my car drive like nothing I have ever driven before! I would not have believed that those tires could perform on a hard-tail dragster, but they did! Thanks to Team M/T from the bottom of my heart!?
