Spiro Pappas Becomes The Second 10.5 Class Racer To Earn A Place In Mickey Thompson's Three-Second Club

Stow, OH - Racing on the new Mickey Thompson Pro-5 double bead lock wheels and #3169W tires, Spiro Pappas posted a 3.99-second elapsed time in the eighth mile this past weekend at the National Guard ADRL Ohio Drags III at the National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio August 21-22. Pappas then went on to defeat eight-time race winner and defending series champion Billy Glidden in the finals. With this win, Pappas became the second racer to earn a place in the Mickey Thompson Three-Second Club for 2009.

It was a big deal for us to earn a place in the three-second club,? said Spiro Pappas. ?I wish we could have been first, but it still feels good to know we did it!

The Mickey Thompson ADRL Extreme 10.5 Three-Second Club combines several special prizes into one great awards program. A number of prizes are awarded including $3,000 in cash to the first five race teams able to achieve less than four-second runs in the Extreme 10.5 Class. Now, there are only three spots left!
