Mickey Thompson Racers Race To a 1-2 Finish Over the Competition At the BITD Series Finale In Henderson

Stow, OH - Mickey Thompson is proud to announce that Trailready Motorsports has completed the Best in the Desert Racing series with a win in the series finale on Mickey Thompson MTZ Radials. The Trailready Products Ford finished the 200-mile sprint first in Class and 25th overall in a 66-car field that included 45 Trick Trucks and Class One Cars.

The race featured four 50-mile laps with a Grand Prix finish. This means that as soon as the fastest car completed the four laps, every car that followed was shown the checkered flag and scored according to completed number of laps. Driver of record, Rich Blunk, was in first position by Race Mile 12. At the end of lap one he had a one-minute lead, and at the end of lap two, handed the truck off to co-driver Larry Trim with an eight-minute lead over Mickey Thompson teammate, Shawn Giordano who finished the race in second place giving Mickey Thompson Tires a perfect 1-2 finish! Both trucks run 35x12.50R15 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ Radials.

This challenging course had a new section this year that included gnarly rocks and was littered with broken vehicles and flat tires. This just adds to the testimony for the Mickey Thompson MTZ’s – not one flat this entire race for either of the Mickey Thompson racers.
