Bruce Boland Races To Victory At The Fifth Annual PMRA Family Weekend Spectacular Cayuga Dragway On Mickey Thompson Tires

05/25/09

Stow, OH - Bruce Boland raced B&B Racing’s 1967 Chevy Nova to victory at the fifth annual PMRA Family Weekend Spectacular at Cayuga Dragway, Toronto Motorsports Park, June 13-14, 2009 – an event that included racers from Canada, the United States and Australia.

Boland, the 2007 and 2008 PMRA Champion, ran a final 6.377-second pass at 221.78 miles per hour on Mickey Thompson #3187 tires. Boland was pitted against Mark Nielsen of Branford, Ontario, Canada in the final. With his win, Bruce Boland leads the Pro Modified Racing Association Championship Point Award Series with 585 points, followed by Ike Maier with 581 points and Mark Nielsen with 563 points.

This win was a great testimony to the consistent performance we have on our Mickey Thompson tires, said Bruce Boland. Our performance was steady throughout the weekend and the car still had a lot left to offer at the end of the event.

Because Mickey Thompson is also a 2009 PMRA Contingency Sponsor, Boland also won the Mickey Thompson Contingency Award for this event. For more information, visit http://www.pmra.ca/.
