3.) Jerry Savoie - 2145 points
4.) LE Tonglet - 2140 points
5.) Hector Arana Jr. - 2110 points
6.) Angelle Sampey - 1985 points
7.) Matt Smith - 1815 points
8.) Chip Ellis - 1810 points
The company will increase the 2018 and 2019 Pro Bike Battle purses to $25,000 for the winner, $10,000 for the runner-up, $6,000 for two semifinalists and $3,500 for the quarter final finishers for a total purse of $61,000.
Mickey Thompson demonstrated its continued dedication to motorcycle drag racing loud and proud this year after announcing two huge sponsorships of both the NHRA’s Top Fuel Harley class and the all-star Pro Bike Battle.
“The Pro Bike Battle brings out the best of the best in Pro Stock Motorcycle racing, so naturally Mickey Thompson is excited to partner with the NHRA and help bring fans the excitement and non-stop action of this event,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Mickey Thompson.
Mickey Thompson also announced plans to grow its presence in the NHRA Top Fuel Harley class starting with the 2018 season, when points will be earned at eight events toward a series championship. Riders will compete for a share of $97,000 in total awards between year-end prize money and the eight races, with bonuses awarded to the top three finishers.
