Tonglet Wins Mickey Thompson Pro Bike Battle in Sonoma
Stow, Ohio – August 2, 2017– Pro Stock rider LE Tonglet won the Mickey Thompson Pro Bike Battle in Sonoma on Saturday after an eventful final round against 2015 champion Eddie Krawiec.
Krawiec started strong, with an impressive .015-second reaction time, but was forced to lift after his Harley-Davidson Street Rod began to drift to the center line. Tonglet won the final round of the battle with a 6.827-second pass at 196.07 mph on his Suzuki.
Tonglet’s victory ends the three-year winning streak for Harley Davidson riders in the Pro Bike Battle. It was his first appearance in the race-within-a-race bonus event.
