Team M/T tops the LOORRS podium three times in Glen Helen
Hardesty, Jr. now points leader in Pro Buggy class
It was another successful weekend of racing for Team M/T during rounds 9 and 10 of the 2018 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at Glen Helen Raceway Sept. 22-22.
Pro Buggy driver Darren “Hot Sauce” Hardesty, Jr. finished first in both round 9 and round 10 at Glen Helen, advancing him to overall class points leader heading in to the Bushwacker Off Road Nationals presented by Lucas Oil at Arizona’s Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park Oct. 20-21. Hardesty has had an impressive season, with eight podium appearances in 10 rounds.
Fellow Team M/T driver Brian Deegan also topped the podium in the Pro 2 class in round 10, following up on a second-place finish during round 8 at the Utah Motorsports Campus on Aug. 25.
“Congratulations to Darren and Brian on their exciting first-place finishes over the weekend,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “Darren’s season has been incredible to watch, and we look forward to seeing him take the 2018 LOORRS Pro Buggy championship next month.”
Originally slated to be the opening weekend of the 2018 season, last weekend’s Rockstar Energy Golden State Off Road Nationals at Glen Helen was delayed due to heavy rain at the track in March.
